Hi all,  looking to get started in the mechanical world.

Just placed an order on Amazon for a POK3R, should get it soon.

I'm a 19 year old CompSci undergrad from the UK, look forward to speaking with you all.

Welcome UK geekhack as a word of advice from one uk GHer to another don't buy ISO right off the bat as your first board as its harder to get keysets for, which I would of wished I knew before :p

Welcome to Geekhack!

Pok3r is a very popular keyboard - a great first choice!

Have you used a 60% keyboard much before?  Might be a bit of a shock how small it looks compared to your typical rubber dome keyboard!
