Title: Northern California Mechanical Keyboard Meetup!

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well and had a fun holiday season. I would like to announce that I am organizing a Northern California Mechanical Keyboard Meetup and you are all invited! Here are all of the relevant details:
 
Where: WASD Keyboards
4121 Clipper Ct
Fremont, CA 94538
When: January 9th 2016 (1/9/16) Time: 12PM - 5PM
Who: Everyone in NorCal with an interests in Mechanical Keyboards!
Why: Why not? Let’s have fun :)
How: Walk! Bike! Skip! Fly! Teleport! or you know… Drive?
What: Mechanical Keyboards, camaraderie, and a giveaway!
 
Thank you to WASD Keyboards for sponsoring the event by providing the venue. They have a wonderful space that they have offered to be used by the community for this meetup. They will also be providing a few large tables for people to use to display their keyboards on.
 
Just a city over is MAX Keyboards who will also be attending the meetup. They have let me know they will be providing prizes for a raffle that we will be doing! We will be raffling out 10 Falcon - 8 Programmable Keypads!

 
There may be a second raffle held with a prize supplied from a mysterious 3rd sponsor! More information coming soon.
 
If there is interest, I will do a soldering/desoldering demonstration. I can also cover switch top removal and spring swapping for those interested.
 
I invite anyone in the area with an interest in keyboards to attend if time permits them to. There will be plenty of clicking and clacking, and I’m sure some of you will want to show off collections. I hope to see y’all there :)
And most importantly, there will be Pizza! Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
Please comment if you are attending so I can gauge how many pizzas will need to be purchased and how many chairs will possibly need to be rented.

Really awesome stuff, I wish there were local companies like wasd and max in my area. We just have agoraphobic ripster. I like the demo idea, I've been putting together some parts myself recently to do just the same at our next meetup.

I'd like to attend, but I don't have a car.  I could a) bart + bus and maybe bring a board, b) bart and catch a ride from the freemont station and bring a board or two, or c) get a ride from SF and bring a beamspring.  Feel free to PM me if you can offer a ride of some kind. ****Got a ride.  I'll be there.
