Title: (Smart) 68 keyboard – cheaper options with same layout?
Post by: apolotary on Tue, 05 January 2016, 12:38:43
I got really interested in (Smart) 68 layout after seeing Booper's(?) album on /r/mk:

which is a 22mini with a price tag around $400. As far as I understand Smart 68 was in the same price range, which is a little too steep for me.

I'm looking for possible alternatives within $200 price range, either as a DIY kit with or without switches and keycaps or assembled board. It would be also great if it allowed opening switch tops and was on sale, like, right now.

So far the closest contender is Red Scarf II 68 (aka RS68), but I can't find much information about it besides a page on taobao.

Any thoughts?
