there is a story, HASSELBLAD was one hte the most famous camera factory, when the second would war happened, the Sweden air force got a spy camera from German, and asked the victor.hasselblad if he could try to make one camera as the same. he said : No, i can't, but i can make a better one.
we are a group of chinese kbd enthusiasts. we knew each other by internet and became a team. every kbd produced by kbc will be designed and made as the highest standard as we can. like pbt crust, dye keycaps, n-key,etc... doing everything to enhance the feeling of your typing.
ducky is the kbd from our factory but not designed by us, but we now have different collors of keycaps. as ducky 104 108 comes, the full 104 keycaps are coming soon.
here is a couple of pic of ducky production of ducky and KBC.
ducky 104 108 the light one F9 10 11 mean:
f9 win key locked
f10 Lctrl capslock exchange
f11 Lwin alt exchange
welcome to our bbs.kbc-china.com to tell us what's not good enough.

Congratulations.
I'm glad to learn what the three other lights are for.
But since I don't see an Fn key on the keyboard, I would normally assume that the state of those three conditions is set by DIP switches. If that were true, it would not change, so lights would not be needed.
Thus, I'm worried that things like exchanging ctrl and caps lock might be set by "normal" key combinations which could possibly conflict with a program that uses the same keys.
Otherwise, it is wonderful to have a new choice available.
EDIT: Oh, silly me. The Fn key has replaced the Windows Menu key, which is why the keys F1 through F7 have multimedia functions even on the 104-key keyboard. But now I can't find the Windows Menu key.

thx a lot
fn+f9 then the light on f9 is on.
... no menu, we think people never use menu. so it's cuted.
maybe some programmers under dos? unix?linux?

What I think is really needed in the keyboard market is a fully programmable keyboard. By that I mean let me decide the layout for every key on the board including modifier keys. Then add a function key on each end of the bottom row so I can have another layer where I can define even more keys. Preferably these extra keys would allow me to assign multiple key presses to a single fn+key combo.
Also I would love the above in a small form factor by chopping off the keyboard at the right of the enter key. Leave the function keys where they are. And of course offer it with a choice of switches (Cherry Browns, Blues, Clears).
I'm not really interested in another full size keyboard I already have plenty of those and there are plenty of those to choose from currently but there are very few if any small form factor boards to choose from. And the ones that we do have to choose from have some issues. Think HHKB Pro 2 with added function key row and more keys on the bottom row (function key on each end of the bottom row) and I would buy one ASAP.

I second that. Regarding the programmability, I'd like the controller's firmware to be fully upgradeable from the outside - maybe with a safety switch - so that hobbyists developers could build their own keyboard layout. One size fits all if you can stretch the size whatever you like.

I like that "Plum" labeled keyboard, it looks quite cool in style and I like the form factor. Where can I get one?
Also, http://www.kbc-china.com isn't working. The website seems to be broken. Could you also provide an english version of the website, possibly, and the ability for US buyers to buy these? Especially the Plum one, I love the key layout!

Hi, I use the menu alot, otherwize i'd have to go to the mouse to right click.
But, in windows, shift+f10 is designed to do just that, for me it works better than using the actual menu key.
If i were to buy the ducky keyboard, the menu key would not be an issue since shift + f10 is very accessible, and actually more natural to me than hitting the menu key. Not everyone knows it so it might have to be added in the user manual.
In my wishlist i'd have to say as a programmer the keys I use are the typical tenkeyless format, or even better the hhkb pro2, more compact and allowing quicker access to arrows, home, end,pg up, pg down, and f1-12 through the fn key.
good luck in your project

Also, http://www.kbc-china.com isn't working.
The Plum keyboard was discussed here quite some time ago, in a thread about compact keyboards - "Where's my backspace key?".
The URL you need is
http://bbs.kbc-china.com/
as his post points out. (I found that kbc-china.com didn't work back when the original thread about the Ducky keyboard started, but his post in this thread cleared that up for me.)
Unfortunately, what you will find there is a discussion board all in Chinese.

But were there any conversations about Mexican editions of these boards?
