Title: Converting IBM Model M terminal keyboard to work with standard PC
Post by: jfharder on Thu, 07 January 2016, 20:14:32
Can anyone provide me with information for converting my newly acquired IBM Model M terminal keyboard to one that works with a standard PC?
The part number is 1392565,  it has an RJ-45 plug and I don't have a clue as to how to proceed.

Thanx,

John Harder

This is the hobbiest way:

or buy one of Orihalcon's ready-made cables.

There's also this thread (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=58941.0) with some great info, especially if you want to make a breakout box to support multiple different IBM keyboard interfaces.
