this is a fact. I see so many people (myself included) trying to sell them for a few hundred bucks, they are pretty nice.

For once I have to agree with demik. :p

The whole artisan scene is ridiculous, people collect for the sake of having as many as possible even though they barely put any of them on their board. If you like the cap then buy it, if not then don't.

I'm not saying this applies to you Hoff since I know a lot have been given to you but there are a lot of others out there that fit this description.

I would agree with this as well. But a lot of people have the caps in case they want them on their board. since they are not the easiest thing to obtain it creates a hoarder type of market, not saying a hoarder market is the only thing it creates.

I try to order just one from every sale (except for blanks; can't have too many dank blanks), but that's the thing: there are so many sales, after a while they become too commonplace. For me, part of the artisan appeal is how rare they are because of the limited production and sales, and the HKP sales are made every month or two with seemingly no limit.

That said, I do appreciate Martin's effort into having an artisan on everyone's board or hand. Heck, I have a red GasMask on my Realforce at work and the office manager noticed it, craned her neck to get a better look, and exclaimed, "That's really cool!"
