Get black-on-white dyesubs and then dye them whatever color you want.

These should do ya just fine, (Assuming you're CONUS.)

http://www.maxkeyboard.com/max-ansi-pbt-104-key-cherry-mx-keycap-set-blank.html

Black, White, Light Grey and Blue. Dont look bad at all, 1.5mm thick as well (Same thickness as ducky, which is medium/thick).

Surprisingly awesome price.

If you could compare them to others like Gateron, Ducky, Leopold, Vortex, how do they feel?
Price never lies, its too much lowerpriced to be honest, what's the trap?

Honestly, i dont really think there's a trap.

I bought my cyan blue NPKC PBT keys for roughly 20 AUD, which is like 13-14 USD in today's conversions.

I also like it more than my doubleshot vortex's in terms of texture.

Fantastic sandy feel, and low clack due to the thickness...

I say go for it imo.

The incremental production cost of a set of injection-molded plastic keycaps can’t be more than a dollar or two.

Most of the cost is in the fixed up-front cost of making the steel tooling, and any hard-to-amortize overhead (labor, packaging, inventory, etc.) from low volumes.

Thus, keycap costs are in general going to depend mostly on vendor scale. If you buy from someone who sells a lot of keycaps, you can get them for cheap. If you buy from a small specialty shop, they’ll cost much more.

Hey, we're all here to help :3

I'm actually surprised on the lack of something has basic as a black, blank set of pbt key caps, and with all the other niche color ways being produced. It just seems like common sense that black would be the first manufactured color. Only one I could find was from MaxKeyboard.

DO tell us how they are if/when you get them  :thumb:

Trust me man, I know the pain. 30 USD = 40-45 AUD + 30 USD shipping for the worst option. I can't justify almost 90$ AUD together for something like black blank key caps.

I ordered Vortex Thick PBT OEM 104 set from ebay, from geekkeys seller and shipping cost is $13 USPS something. I hope they don't be very late and also that the caps turn out good :)

edit: I forgot to mention - I meant shipping to Bulgaria, EU.

Blank keys will always be cheaper, because printing the legends on the keys takes additional work and materials. There are several options on the market for good, top printed, PBT caps, but they are either expensive, or ship only to USA only.

Are the Maxkeyboard PBT keycap sets in Cherry profile or OEM profile?
