Title: ESPN and Esports
Post by: tp4tissue on Sat, 16 January 2016, 20:02:33
Everyone on the internet is discussing the wrong damn issues..

The most important upside to this happening is that us G4m3rz will finally be able to get pretty girlfriends who are only into us for the Money.. (http://www.cute-factor.com/images/smilies/onion/th_087_.gif)

What are they discussing?

TI5 was broadcast on ESPN last year. It's the next logical progression for big sports broadcasters who can afford to lose money. Bearing in mind that even on twitch, T!5 got like, what, a million viewers? I don't think they are going to make a huge amount of money doing a 24/7/365 esports channel.

There is one reason for this:  $$$

Actual quality writing like Grantland doesn't matter to ESPN anymore.  I'm surprised that the 538 blog is still around after they axed Grantland.

They have an esports Twitter account and they're having a piece on TSM on the main channel today I think. ESPN is trying to capture as many viewers as possible. When more than a million people watched the world championship for LoL, it garners big media attention. Heck, yesterday almost 500,000 people were watching TSM vs CLG on Twitch.

Yes it was SIfo,  action by inaction.. you refused to exert your ample asian influence in making the music better, thereby causing them to "stay" with crummy music..

I mean I'm making money from it, I can't complain. eSports single-handedly funds my keyboards and clacks
