Had an idea last night.

Have you guys/gals seen JDCARPE'S buy where he is doing a single color GH key each month? The key comes in a pack of 2; one mx and one alps.

I had the thought to do a similar buy with bars. A single color monthly or every 2 months, packs would be 2 bars; one 6.25u and one 7u.

Thoughts?

Hello all, Im wanting to see if there is enough interest to try get a Group Buy going for some GMK spacebars.

Wanting to do a CMYK pack in 6.25u, if the interest is there either buy #1 will also include 7u OR there will be a second buy after 6.25u for the 7u bars.

First of all: a picture with the standard colors used by GMK

Now you need to define the ones that going to be used.

My suggestions (which are not perfect):

From this list, I don't like the cyan. It isn't really cyan, more like a light blue. You can try finding a custom plastic for that color. Intelli78 bought lots of plastic Pantone® chips (http://www.pantone.com/pantone-plastic-standard-chips) before choosing the colors used on TA keyset.

I dont want to go over board with options, since this is my first try at a GB, so maybe I could do a CMY kit and then a kit with various colors?

Yeah thats fine, I'm OK with getting more spacebars, but those spacebars are going to be shipped with Miami Nights, although that GB has dragged out at this point.

Yeah thats fine, I'm OK with getting more spacebars, but those spacebars are going to be shipped with Miami Nights, although that GB has dragged out at this point.

I've already ordered all space bars in 6.25u from Ivan's Miami Nights GB, but I'd be down for this as well, especially for 7u bars as I didn't order any of those.

MOQ is only 150 now on standard colors - nowhere near as low as SP but way lower than it used to be (250, and before that 500)

But does the price go up with lower MOQ?

I'm not sure what the max most people will pay for 2 space bars is.

Also with the recent increase in USPS shipping prices it might be a hard sell, especially internationally. This is where having a 3 or 4 pack makes more sense.

But I guess it never hurt to try.

You might partner with mechanicalkeyboards.com or something see if they would buy up whatever MOQ is left to resale.

I would suggest against it due to the repeated coast of shipping. This is one if the reasons that I'm not partaking in the Geek Hack key GB.

Not sure what is going on anymore, but I don't want complicated and fancy as I'm sure most other people don't.

Cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. In 6.25u and 7u variants. I'm in Australia so shipping kills me. If you are going to have another GB for 7u than I'd love it if you could hold onto the bars until that comes and then send them both out together. That is my thoughts on this matter

Things are still slowly turning in the background. I have nobody locally to talk to (the two locals I know of stay pretty busy and I dont want to bug them).

I plan to get a Google form going soon, for a legit interest check.

I definitely plan to do the 6.25u pack, the 7u pack will be up to interest (if the interest is there I will do it, but if its not then :/ )

I'd be very good if this is true; but, there is no harm is asking for interest on this as the Ivan group has been paid for already, there is no reason to prevent this other buy to happen.

Voted. 4 pack of 6.25 is my first choice. Would potentially do the 8 pack if that was the only option, but done really want to go through the hassle of selling the other 4 bars.
