Title: Best sub-$300 racing wheel?
Post by: hwood34 on Mon, 18 January 2016, 11:15:30
I'd really like to pick up something like a G27 but without the crazy price tag. I'm not really sure there's actually something decent out there that includes a stick and everything.

Driving force GT is budget and great.

I would buy it 2nd-hand. The g27 or above^

I picked up a G27 when it was on sale, paid 200$. Maybe wait to see if it goes on sale again? I really wish I used mine more  :(

Well, I found a Driving Force GT for just over $100, but I also found a g25 for $150, unfortunately on this somewhat sketch website (http://www.tamayatech.com/parts.php?g=941000020&gclid=CjwKEAiAt_K0BRCzjtv92_HGoR0SJAA9QNn__AM5DweShtnbkeXTaqIXuKLuK34iq8W_GA5_Tg9BghoCtD7w_wcB) with pretty ****ty reviews

Im also looking for a lower cost force feedback wheel, i'm still on a USB 1.0 microsoft sidewinder, really not bad, but i've been getting deeper into project cars and i really want force feedback.  Along with a clutch and at least the option of having a shifter.

I don't suppose anyone here has had issues with the DFGT's shifter in Assetto corsa? In the controls menu when I try to set the bindings, it doesn't even recognize it. Might have to return this

edit: from what I've seen it should completely work...

edit again: im dumb, it works

Somehow prices on racing wheel just rose crazily. Back in 2010 you could buy a DFGT for 65€ brand new. i guess eur dolar is not as favourable...
