Title: Apple Extended Switch Custom
Post by: poopdecksweeper on Mon, 18 January 2016, 13:21:22
Hi all, new user here.

I was wondering if there is any possibility of creating a custom 60%ish keyboard using my Apple Extended Alps switches. Any ideas at all would be helpful. Thanks!

Must haves on the board:

1. Arrows
2. Ability to change keys around (programmability...?)
3. Small form factor

Apart from the arrows (which is always problematic on 60%, some compromise must be made), you've missed a GB that offered exactly that (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=75491.0) by a couple of months. Something similar will come up sooner or later I think, there is still demand for this.

Other than that, you can always have a custom plate cut and handwire the keyboard.

might want to send a PM to E3E, njbair, Badwrench, or CPTBadass. They are the experts in this area.
