Hey all!

Im a keyboard newb... especially after reading some insane threads. you guys really get into keyboards!

Anywho, I got referred here as i am looking for a quiet mechanical keyboard for my near silent pc build. Im sure to find a way to get the quietest keyboard for my liking!!

Welcome to the mech world. Do you have any idea of what type you want? RGB? Cherry switches? Etc.?

I have  no idea honestly... living in the middle of nowhere stuck in the early 1900's makes it hard to physically test anything. from what ive read, some modded(lubed and stickered) brown switches might be up my alley, either that or torpes, but those area  bit out of my price range

Cherry MX browns are a perfect hybrid between typing and gaming. Browns were the first switch I had and I loved them! If you want a cheap starter board with lots of room for customization, look into the Quickfire Rapid.

I think I've already replied in your other thread.

But just to add that on-one can really tell you which keyboard you'll like.  We can recommend a few keyboards that match your requirements, probably with different switches, different keycaps, different size keyboards and so on.  Whether you get such keyboard and actually like it no0one can predict.
