Oooooohhhhhh jaaaaaaa
-
Love to see Olivetti ^_^
-
Much better priced than the sets that were sold a while ago.
The only thing missing compared to the other set would be the winkeys and coloured mods.

That Tab though :puke:

Seriously... the Originative guy really needs to fix that tab issue.

My main problem with it is the price. Factoring in the terrible Tab legends and lack of layout support for other layouts, it is quite steep at $155 for 104 ANSI + a few Tsangan additions.

Is this GMK?

Was considering picking up a set until I noticed that. :))

Yep.

It's a GREAT set. My opinion anyway.
-
Sherry sold me a set a set in the summer. Agreed that this set is great. I'm waiting to combine my bluegaloo before I do anything with it.

Ordered a set. I was hoping since these had to be re-produced again that the Tab would be fixed..

Same... I'm just buying an olivetti set from the enjoypbt groupbuy.

If anyone's wondering the white/beige are slightly off OG cherry sets that make it really strange if you're thinking about mixing the sets together. The texture was also a lot glossier than other GMK sets I have, not sure if that was just my set or what.

I had a gmk beige from Sherry and og beige and attributed the color differences to the age of og set. I don't recall the texture though.

Nice-looking, but I can't say I get why this is worth as much as a mid-price MK. Is it the color? Or is there actually something remarkable about font and/or formatting? If the legends were darker and I walked by it in an office, I don't think I'd notice it at all.
And what's so icky about Tab? The symbols aren't centered with the text? Isn't that just Olivetti's design? Couldn't you make the same criticism of the Up/Down keys?
Everyone who looks at niche merch like this should be aware of a marketing method called premium pricing (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Premium_pricing) (or "prestige pricing"). When you put an unusually high price on something, people often perceive it as being worth that much more, whether or not it actually is. In other words, the less of a deal it is, the more some people are attracted to it.
Good marketing uses lots of psychology. Notice how precisely arranged and formatted everything is on that website (https://www.originativeco.com/products/classic-beige-with-blue-legends), and how the plain background and generous white space create a clinical, "clean room" feeling. They must realize that people drawn to things like custom keysets are often unusually particular and detail-oriented—even to the point of obsession (OSD, germophobes, etc.)—people who'd find this look alluring.
I just want you to consider the strong possibility that you're being played. Carry on as you will. :?)

That's just a Shopify theme, man. I agree it looks nice but I think the main reason for all the discussion in this thread is the historical interest in the Olivetti colorway. Add to that the requisite controversy any time Originative is involved, and you have yourself a rousing forum discussion.

those of you with non standard 104 should be aware you can't use it! Octagon, TKL with WKL setup, viper, etc.
otherwise, not too bad

Well, it will work if you have a TKL with 84key winkeyless set up. Just not a 86key winkeyless set up because the set doesn't include 1u winkeys.
