So I ordered a Chicony keyboard with white ALPS on eBay, and guess what? The guy sent me the WRONG KEYBOARD! He sent me a crappy rubber dome one, and now I have to pay for the return shipping so I can send it back. Now wouldn't that tick you off?
On a better note, the guy did refund my money, which I used to buy an IBM Model M. I don't think I can go wrong with an IBM Model M.
-
That depends on the condition of the Model M. Where did you get it from?
-
..unless that Model M happens to use rubber domes as well.
-
That made me lol...
What part number Model M is it?
-
idk it said clicky, i dont have the link on this computer. I'll see if i can find it
-
Here is the link for the keyboard I bought:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140362764029 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140362764029)
It says it is tested and is said to be working, and it is said to be clicky.

Ah, one of the classic 1391401s. Hopefully the one you get will in be good nick.

If Your error = You should pay all shipping to correct the situation
If His error = He should pay all shipping to correct situation
If either party wants to back out of contract, then you negotiate who covers what charges.
You should not have to pay return shipping for him to send the correct item to you. But if you opted to back out of buying it, then I can see him wanting you to send it back because he doesn't need to let you out of the contract to purchase.

It's a clicker all right!
-
its clicky.
-
Oh yeah, forgot to mention that bit. It's definitely one of the right ones.
-
Finally! A keyboard that I bought is a clicky!!! I should have tried a model M the first time...
-
I saw a Model M with a tracking ball up there on ebay, but it's a rubber dome.

Thanks for this information. I'll ask the seller, maybe I might get a free keyboard out of this if the guy decides not to pay the return shipping.

And if he doesn't pay return shipping, you can ship him a copy of Microsoft Bob as a punishment!

That would be worse than a lawsuit.
-
It would probably cause a lawsuit.
