Kind of interesting thing, I’m guessing MX switches:

There was a discussion about another one of these on Geekhack in 2010, but sadly the images were hosted on imageshack and are now all dead:

Really odd keyboard. Only thing on google says that PN is some sort of IR wireless keyboard, which would explain the extra circuitry and batteries.
Based on the LED placement I don't think that it has MX switches. The couple of old Cherry keyboards I have with LEDs on key caps like that are windowed in classic Cherry fashion.
Great price for a vintage Cherry enthusiast.

From ~1984?
The speculation from the other thread was that this might have been compatible with the IBM PC Jr, as it has a "Jr / Sr" switch on the back.

vintage mx blacks.
The image links are dead, but google has cached them (https://www.google.com/search?q=cherry+knx3-8451&safe=active&espv=2&biw=1920&bih=955&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiV9dyRlc7KAhUDSyYKHbc1AhYQ_AUICCgD#safe=active&tbm=isch&q=cherry+knx3-8451+keyboard&imgrc=sftMIZAKROQoNM%3A).
it's a good price for them. but, plate mounted + shipping costs + no desoldering/soldering iron = I'm too lazy.

I acquired this keyboard. Pics are posted at DeskThority here: https://deskthority.net/photos-f62/cherry-pcjr-keyboard-early-mx-switches-and-dcs-key-caps-t13390.html
Thanks for the hint on the IBM PCjr. I think you guys are right but I won't know until I get an IBM PCjr :)
