Title: The Swiss did it.
Post by: fehrm on Tue, 02 February 2016, 19:40:45
Hello Geekhack, I am mostly here to annoy everyone with the prospect of a larger somewhat weirdly shaped enterkey for my ISO future keyboards.
Currently I have a Ducky with Cherry MX Bklue, Swedish and a Swedish Filco with Red switches, which has made me fall in love with mechkeyboards. Soon I will have my first ANSI keyboard.

I actually code with the USA layout (due to an old laptop that had problems switching layouts in Linux so I just stuck with US layout at the time). I also poisoned myself with learning VIM, and is now suffering from having 4-5 editors all with different quirks and compatiblity to the VIM standard.

Welcome!

Take a good long look at the money in your wallet. Maybe give it a hug. After you spend some time here, you will be parting with some or all of it.

:D

Hi, I had no idea Filco made a Cherry MX Red board. I thought it was black or brown. Cool

I bought this one, http://massdrop.com/buy/kbparadise-v60-mini-gateron?mode=guest_open
Have yet to try it, will cost me around $86 and around $30 in customs and tax. Yey for tax!

What do you mean with 4-5 editors with quirks and compatibility issues to the VIM standard?

Btw.. VIM RULES! (emacs is also fine, no editor war intended)

Welcome to Geekhack!

ISO has its uses, but you'll find it so much easier to locate replacement keycap sets with an ANSI layout.  Although more group buys are including support for a number of ISO layouts these days.

There's ... a few people around here who like Vim :)

Like Visual Studio, I sometimes have used Atom or Sublime, with their VIM modes but they still lack features or does stuff differently, eh. So annyoing sometimes having to rlearn. Guess I should look into OmniSharp and VIM but meh.
