Title: Is it possible to get a Magicforce 68 anywhere?
Post by: Bownagles on Wed, 03 February 2016, 15:40:05
I passed on the offer on massdrop since I didn't want to wait that long to receive the keyboard but I can't seem to find it anywhere besides aliexpress, which I'm a bit wary of purchasing from

You can check taobao and proxy via taobao focus. Its interesting cuz some of the listings give you a kit so you can put any switch and led on it

Pretty sure Ali and TB are your only options. Why are you wary of Ali? I bought Chinese stuff from there with no issues.

I've been trying to find them on Taobao but it's kind of tricky when I have no grasp of Chinese lol. I've been looking at the kit but I'm not sure if it's right for me, I'm really clumsy. Do you have any experience with taobao focus?

I've just never heard anything, good or bad, about them. On a second look, though, Ali doesn't have a brown switch option so I might have to do some looking at Taobao...

Ali is like the Amazon of China.

I found two Magicforce 68s on AliExpress with brown switches. Ali is like the Amazon of China.

Sounds like it's good enough for me then

Thanks! Those are significantly more expensive then the other switch options, though... At that point I'd just go for a Poker or something, especially since it'll ship way faster (the whole reason I skipped the drop)

I did find the completed keyboard on Taobao here (https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=521996024109&toSite=main&toSite=main&sku_properties=1627207:1113850923). I can rule out most of the options because they're the wrong switch, but what switches do the Kaihua Green Shaft or the Non Backlit Silver Green Axis versions have? Razer greens/equivalent? I google translated the page/put it into taobaofocus and that's what it translated as.

Edit: looks like they're blue equivalents
