When clears were hard to find these weren't so bad to get but being able to buy new clears for $0.49/each it makes taking chances on these old boards hardly worthwhile.

I totally get some people like 'older' or 'used' switches but what I've found is many times these older boards are only good for the sliders because of water damage and corrosion to the other parts.

And these things are chunks of metal and other electronics, cool to play with but then not always easy to dispose of. :D

romevi: I have no idea what years these were made. You could maybe figure it out by looking at the labels or other features, doing google searches to cross reference model numbers, etc.

I also have no idea what anyone considers a “vintage clear” switch. The only MX clear switches I have were new ones from an Ergodox kit. I am not a Cherry MX aficionado/collector, and my knowledge of MX switches is pretty thin.

I wouldn't mind having one if I could convert it to USB.  Bring it in as my office keyboard.  BOSS

What about the caps of those Chyron? Are they doubleshot or of any value?

The font looks very similar to the WYSE terminal boards (thin doubleshot caps produced by Comptec, read more about it here -> http://keypuller.com/wyse/=

Unless you just really like the way they look or the legends they  aren't anything special.
