Title: Need help fitting DSA blank keycap to Ergodox Infinity.
Post by: vatin on Sat, 13 February 2016, 07:28:08
Hi,

Is there on online guide showing how to fit a DSA blank keycap to Ergodox Infinity?
With keys come in variable slant I simply don't know where to start. Any tips or guild would be appreciated.

Thank you.

DSA are all the same profile except for the two homing keys

DSA caps are flat not slanted, that's why they're the most popular choice for an Ergodox.

If you have slanted caps you'll need to decide how to put them on so they feel best to you, or so you read the legends and find them if you're new to the board.  Custom keyboards are all about getting what you want and no-one knows what that is except you :)

I think I made a mistake, it might be dcs after all. I can confirm that the slant are variable between keys. So you suggest me to follow my own preference?

Thank you for all suggestions! I've completed my Ergodox Infinity.  I've found out that the correct way to place keycap is putting the most slanted caps from the bottom roll with progressively reduced slanting upward.
