The only emulation I've done is Virtual Pinball, MAME, FinalBurn Alpha, and some for the Master System--I forget which. I've done some handheld emulation for ROM hacks when they wouldn't run properly in the flash cart.

I will add, however, that the HD emulation looks very tempting, especially Dolphin and the ones for the PS games. Just haven't figured those out yet.  :p

The good thing about emulation is that it allows you to play with the greatest input device ever made; the keyboard.

All those fancy controllers and crap, they're rubbish. You can input combos ten times faster on a keyboard compared to a controller :D .

I have a large library of games (roms, etc) that ive been collecting over the years. I have most games (minus most of the sports games) from PS2 down to Atari. I have been working on my Hyperspin setup for literally years also. My HTPC is pimped the **** out, 3x 4tb storage drives. Dreamcast, GC, ps1, ps2, coin-op Arcade... You name it I have it.

Hyperspin is literal hell to configure, but the UI is incredible.

Ive basically used every emulator of every console ever made so if you need any advice about specific emulators let me know I can help!

Mx switches is not ideal for gaming. Too much travel distance..

1 to 1.5mm actuation is ideal for gaming would be better.

We can work aroundddd this with skill, and such,   but overall.. I believe if we're looking for tightness of integration..  then reducing latency is the most important aspect.

I always try to get an original copy and play on original hardware, but these days it seems like everyone and their grandmother collects retro games so purchasing some titles has become impossible for now. Emulation is certainly not perfect, but I see no shame in emuing hard to find titles, or seeing if you enjoy the game before purchasing it.
I wish I'd emu'd Hagane before trading for it, because it's probably the most expensive mistake I own. **** that game.

**** that game is expensive.  WOW.  I mean like that is a nice korean board there.

When I traded for it, it was only going for around $150. It's skyrocketed in the past 3 years.

Man sell that if you hate it.  Why keep it?

I'm actually looking to trade it for some rare Turbo CD titles, so if ya know anyone ;)
Selling something that rare would be a mistake imo

I have to agree with this for the most part. It just doesn't look and feel the same.
