I live not far from the Lego factory.  It is about 40 miles from my town to Enfield, CT, where the Lego factory is located.  And from reading these posts, if I ever get a motherboard that I don't have a case for, I think I'll build one out of Lego's.

That's what the Google servers were housed in back in the days before they installed the money fountain.

Computer-Lab, I read in Wiki that Lego plans to close that factory..."Lego Group plans to close the production facility in Enfield, Connecticut and outsource this work to the Flextronics factory in Mexico." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lego (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lego)
Turns out Lego is a Danish (not Dutch, ty lowpoly) company- not American. The molds are made to 2 micron tolerance and the worn out molds are "encased in the foundations of buildings to prevent them from falling into competitors' hands".

LEG GODT Geekhackers

Well good :) My apologies to any Danish/Dutch Geekhackers.
After reading a bit more,  "These bricks were based largely on the design of Kiddicraft Self-Locking Bricks, which were released in the United Kingdom in 1947. Lego modified the design of the Kiddiecraft brick after examining a sample given to it by a British supplier of an injection-moulding machine that Lego had purchased." America isn't the only country where ideas are 'borrowed'.

Typical British invention. Nice idea. Can't implement.

I wouldn't be surprised if Stephen Hawking's wheelchair could let him travel into space!
