Which keycaps family are Majestouch? And Cherry G80-3000s?

Thanks

I'd say DCS for G80-3000.
-
Filco seems to have the KT set, I think.
-
I'd say DCS for both.
-
No, there is no difference in keys by row. On the Filco, you can swap the X and T keys and never know the difference (other than the legends).
-
I just pulled a top row and bottom row key, they are the same. I am using the blank key set, but I don't think they are different than the stock ones, though.
-
TBH, none of these really look exactly like the Filco keys.
-
I've got a blank set of Filco keys on my Scorpius, and looking at it right now, it's definitely DCS.
-
Weird. I either got a bad set, or they changed at some time. I took a look at the original keys, and they are DCS.
-
Or maybe I'm just getting blinded by the light reflecting off teh shinee.
-
Do you wash you hands in battery acid?

i just pulled the stock keycaps off a tenkeyless and the alphanumeric rows are all different from each other. however, the function key row is the same as the number row, and the very bottom row (ctrl, alt, space bar) is the same as the bottom alpha row (zxc, etc.)
(edit note: just saw your other reply and the filco is close to dcs but not exactly, as the function key row isn't unique.)

Spremino - were you just curious or thinking of key swaps??
Thanks for the pics, Ripster.
I'd like a blank (Otaku) keyboard. I currently own a Filco set, but after seeing my Tenkeyless going shiny, I'm going to buy some quality sets straight from some keycap manufacturer here in Europe. Since it's likely I'll have to buy more than one set, I wonder whether I could manage to order sets which would fit both Filcos and Cherries, therefore increasing their "resell-ability".

I'm not sure about the front row on the Cherry Corp keyboards even if they have the Windows key being swappable - on the POS boards the keys are mounted off center. Otherwise you should be able to swap away.
Looking at some of the keys on the 'boards we just got, the larger keys are mounted dead center. I will need to check my G80-3000 to see if they are the same way.

Yes, I'm aware I'll likely have to order keycaps to fit the bottom row of both keyboards. A few keycaps more will not be an issue. OTOH, from your Anti-Otaku article, I understand that upper keycaps of Majestouch and Cherry are sized alike.

Cherry keycaps don't fit any row in the original post. Rows 0 (fn) and 1 have the same slant as have rows 4 and 5 (spacebar).
-
Oh, I missed TheSoulhunter's post about KBC keycaps. I think I'll go with them (easier).
Thanks all for your replies.

For the useless record, I measured these angles for Filco keys:
-2° esc/F row
-2° numbers row (same profile as top row)
1° qwer row
6° asdf row
<11° zxcv row
<11° space row

wow good post

The keys on my Focus are sculpted like that too. I think I will measure their angles sometime and report to you all on it soon.
