They'll round out my special set I've been wondering what to do with.

Here's a shot for Ripster.

I've actually been playing with the idea of writing my own keyboard controller, in order to make the four control keys operate as their legends, CR, LF, FIGS, LTRS. In my copious spare time... yah,

No, they already have the cherry-compatible + hole in the back. What I want to do is make a controller sort of like the colored mode of a Nostromo. Power on, the keys are in alphabet or LeTteRS mode. Press FIGS and the entire keyboard changes mode to trigger the symbols or FIGureS that appear above them.

LTRS mode type the Z" key and you get a Z
FIGS mode type the Z" key and you get a "

Plain as mud.

They came, I saw, I considered

Enter and Graph have red plastic .. um, light piping

The main trouble is that they all have solid key stems, and it looks like someone used a pair of dikes to cut the tops off. They weren't too worried about scarring the keycaps, neither.

I'm not throwing them out, but this is definitely a FAIL. At least there's no buyer's remorse.

I wish I hadn't misplaced my CHEF SALAD key. That'd look great next to the Big Mac key.

I have an old box of Eggo in my freezer from the early 90's if you want em.  They smell, they are freezer burned, but they are old, and they are cheap!

$2 free shipping!

I bought them for $0.04 each at http://www.halted.com, which is about 2 miles from my house.

very cool. I've definitely heard of it before.

I just tried to look on their site for keys, didn't get to far. Think you gotta just go there...

Halted is a real treat in person. I can't find anything on the website. Basically it's a warehouse with the stuff arranged in aisles. I always take my geek friends to Frys and Halted when they visit from out of town.
