Does your computer sometimes make new noises, that you've never heard before.. and you're just thinking in the back of your mind.. well, that's that, it's got computer cancer.. gonna plan to buy a new pc..

I have had the fan in the PSU starting to wear out and make loud noises. That is something that is not recommended that you would fix yourself.

This. If you're worried about capacitors, just let it sit unplugged for about a day and they'll discharge. If you're really worried, after a day use a screwdriver or something to short the leads.
