That's hot
What if I sell my Bros for undermarket value or--worse--give them away? Do I get un-banned, even though I was never banned? What happens then? Why do kids like Apple Jacks?
Joking about selling an artisan for profit before it even arrives is like joking you have a bomb at the airport. You deserve whatever happens next.
Especially with BroCaps.
Still, it is a shame you even have to put effort into filtering these people out.
P.s. what is slack?

This is why I hardly use reddit for keyboard purposes anymore, as someone coming from that forum, and also someone that just got into keyboards in the last year and a half, there is a stark difference in the communities. It just so happens this one fit me a little better.
Its like Mito? Constantly bashes stuff then turns around and compliments it after the **** storm settles?

A primary reason I prefer dedicated forums over hives like Reddit is because the community in dedicated forums is focused on that hobby and helping others enjoy that hobby as well. With websites like Reddit, you get people of different backgrounds trickling into other interests, getting a general idea of those new-found interests, and then doing whatever it takes to help themselves out over others.
I've seen this apply to many other hobby forums of which I'm a member, and I've always seen people be more educational and helping in dedicated forums. You still get the bad apples, but not as much as global-interest sites like Reddit.

No, he's talking about MiTo. And it's not restricted to reddit.

Reddit is a great site for a lot of things, and it encompasses virtually all subject matter which makes it a great all-purpose site to browse for news and such. But there is no question that GH is a vastly better keyboard community than /r/mk. And that's nothing against /r/mk, it's much better for the casual keyboarder or people who don't really care to delve into the hobby too much. But people like the ****head user that Bro is referencing in the OP are why I don't use /r/mk more than once a day, and that's just to look at the front page of pictures when I get home from work.
I think GH makes it a lot easier to hold people accountable, and it feels a lot more like a community. But I hate to see it on GH when people group all redditors as ****ty community members. Plenty of great people on Reddit.
Glad to see that guy get his raffle win get taken away. People should be held accountable for what they say, the excuse "it's just the internet" is just not a good reason to act that way.

I don't think Reddit is bad. I just was trying to emphasize that as a website it's more global and less dedicated than other hobby-specific forums. I've seen this on stuff like 4chan, too, mostly with other hobbies I have like retro video games.
I feel like websites dedicated to one hobby with have like-minded goals rather than other alternatives like Reddit or 4chan, or any other global sites.

As far as I know, the guy is cool with [CTRL].Alt despite the fact that he and BunnyLake exchanged harsh words in the past, and he also criticizes the crew because of the Penumbra's extremely long delay, and to be honest he's kinda right. Another factor that deconstructs the perception of his "hate" towards CA is that he was recently approached by Cody and a possible partnership/mutual help was discussed but I don't know what the outcome of it was. Calling him a "general *******" is unfair if you don't really know the guy and I also find unfair that many of his good makings and efforts are overlooked and ignored in this community. I believe that some people here don't recognize what he did in the past with PuLSE and what he has been doing with his current projects. But the newcomers who like a juicy story will most likely agree and accept his role as a villain because of confirmation bias. It seems that they show up here and on Reddit, read somebody giving him crap and start doing the same, most of the time, because apparently this is the cool thing to do. But I'm gonna tell you something; there aren't villains nor saints in the "maker's layer" of this community.

Hi MiTo.
I assumed sock puppet, that post confirmed it. Love the obvious attempt at image saving.
And how is it that so many threads turn into MiTo drama posts?
I have no qualms with the man as I've never interacted with him (well, he did PM me with something and I helped him out, but didn't hear anything after that), but the one thing I've witnessed that bugged me most is that he called beehatch a "****" and then tried backing out by claiming he didn't know beehatch was female.
I dunno; I've never heard anyone throw the term "****" gender-neutrally or at a male.

Hi MiTo.
I'm not so sure about that, musicians are true artists and they relaunch discs and performances to please their fans (and some do it for the bucks) very frequently. But I could be wrong though, what do you exactly mean with "creation liberty"? Is the "creation liberty" something related to actual items like sculptures and paintings (and can not be applied to music)?

Sorry for the wall of quote, but I think these are good sentiments about the differences between the two communities. The reality is they both cater to a different clientele and definitely have their benefits over the other. I don't think one is particularly better than the other, just that each caters to different expectations.
That being said, I am tired of the r/mk vs. GH stuff. Honestly after being over at r/mk for a while and following here and then joining, everyone talks about the "feud" but there isn't really one, just a few people here and there like the one mentioned in OPs post who voice their opinions, but get upset when they are called out on the inconsistency in their behavior.
Though in the end, the best part about r/mk is the IRC channel IMHO.

What is that thing why foes it have a retaining ring on the end. Looks like some kind of plug.... a human plug if you will
But where would one put such an item? It does not seem suited for the mouth. After all pacifiers tend to be quite small. Hmmm.
inb4 the typical "I never wanted the cap anyway, I was just trolling" post to save faceITS A PRANK BRO ITS A PRANK
I'm not sure if mr Brocaps sir will see this or not. I've never bought an artisan keycap, mostly because I can't afford one at the moment (no job and alot of studying) but I've always been under the impression that you pay for what you get, so when I see a keycap going for 60$ and It's an 11 piece aluminium structure, I can absolutely get behind that. I wont be able to buy it even though I really want to, but I understand the reason for the price. I go on CtrlAlt alot, to just look at the brobots, I think the caps look fantastic and I've always wanted one (currently looking for a conservative red to match my keycap set) So I understand paying 35$ for one, because they look clean and absolutely fantastic. Sure I got a bit supprised when I saw the price of the NightStalker and didn't think it was a good idea to not offer an option to where you could only buy the keycap. It took a day and the team at Brocaps had listened and added a 48$ option where you only get the keycap, I think that's absolutely fair.
Here's another thing. How in the everything that is holy can I miss a brocaps sale by 3 hours and nothing is available, it sucks. I wanted a Ridic Red reaper but couldnt get one. The guys buying the keycaps are lightning fast.
Either way, great keycaps in general, amazing design and atleast you're learning from your buiseness misshaps, which is alot better than most companies!
Good luck in the future, I hope to get a hold of some Brobots sooner or later!

At least you know you didn't make a mistake. :))What does NA mean? bee told me that and I don't know what it means.
North America. IIRC it (the whole phrase, not NA = North America) came from a video game dominated by Asian players, so people half-jokingly said "Best <blank> NA" to identify the top players in North America, though they were still nowhere near as good as the Asian players. Can't find where I read that though, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Hence why billnye is "top skammer NA", etc.

This sale was a raffle. If you didn't enter in the allotted period I'm afraid you will miss out. :(
That being said, I agree with you. Artisans don't have to justify their prices to us. They know exactly how much it cost to produce, and they charge what they think is a fair price. Hell, they could charge even more and it's still fair.

Sorry, I'm new at this, how does a raffle work if the sale is/was up on the site? Truly clueless!

Yep, my understanding, too. People used it a TON in CSGO a year or two years ago and it seems to have caught on like wildfire in gaming communities that have more skilled EU and APAC player bases.

Excuse my ignorance, but what happened with Ripster? Wasn't/Isn't he a mod on R/mk and a highly regarded member of the community? Or have I gotten it all wrong?
