So, after long lurking, here I am clickety-clacketing my first post on my new Ducky Zero. I would like to thank anybody here for convincing me I'm not (the only one) sick about noisy keyboards.
About that: I started using clicky keyboards in 1983 I guess, it was a Dasher Data General terminal in my high school. I think it says a lot about my age ;) Anyway: since I see someone here

trying to make a set of keycaps out of those I'm curious how they will fit on my keyboard some years later... who would have imagined! :D

Welcome to Geekhack!
What switches have you got in your Ducky? The SA keycaps, especially the sculptured ones, are very heavy, and work best on heavier switches, like MX blacks, greens or clears.
When used on lighter switches (blues, browns, reds) the keycaps are too heavy and almost make the switches feather light.
We used dumb terminals when I was at uni, and the best ones were the old ones with the noisy keyboards. I was more than happy to use them and let everyone else use the nice new shiny terminals with the quiet keyboards (with the keys that used to stick sometimes).

Hi rowdy,
I've got blue switches actually, I didn't know about this issue with thick keycaps, thanks!
I'm actually selling my old G80-11900 on ebay right now (MX Black) because I couldn't get used to its stiffyness and weird keys layout but I don't regret that ;)
I may try to buy blu/cyan keycaps from wasdkeyboards.com in the future, but after I found a Model M this morning (they were dumping it as e-waste  ) I think i will spend some money on a restoration project. I will post any progress if I succeed!

Yay! Another Model M saved!
I saved two of them, although I did buy them at rock bottom price and restored them myself.
Now I have 5!
