Hello Geekhack! I have completely re-done this keyboard; here are the completed pictures:

If better pictures are wanted, please just ask. I may work on a render very soon.

Is it going to be a skeleton style case or a two part full aluminum design? Do you have a machine shop and anodizing shop lined up as well? You're better off going with t6 6061 grade aluminum, 7075 is much harder to anodize.

Two part full alu design. I need to work on the logistics of creating this, however I want to work on that once I have the design done. I wanted to ask questions to the community on the forum, but I'm not sure if I should have posted on IC.

I may try to have a bottom row that supports all layouts.

Ah ok well best of luck. I'm pretty curious as to what's going to come out of this. Also keep in mind that you'll need to have money set aside for getting a prototype made as well. It may be a bit tricky finding a shop with an affordable price in the UK. :thumb:

Why would he find a shop in the UK when he's in the US? :p Unless he's going to give the prototype to me :D

Oh damn lol, I always mix up the locations of Firebolt and Fire Brand. Either way the U.S. will still be tricky in finding a good price.

Is anyone here experienced at making plates? If so, would you be willing to check over my plate?

I actually may scrap this if i I don't get help with the plate; I have no clue how to verify whether or not it will work with the PCB....

You might be able to get confirmation from Leeku?
Or get a acrylic plate cut for cheap, and get one of the compact PCBs.

I didn't realize that this was an 1800 inspired layout. Very interested. :thumb:

Ugh, people seem to want both the segmented and the compacted. I will see how much the price will be changed by this. Also, what colors would you guys want?

Pick which layout you prefer.

Colours: Silver, Black, "Titanium" grey, and some other "bright" colour. Not red, that's too obvious.

Also interested. As long as it can support a standard bottom row, I'll be in for a black one.  :thumb:
