The price of Cherry G80-3000 keyboards with Clears has gone up considerably. A few months ago, you could get one for less than 60 euros, but now you must pay more than 110 euros. Why is this the case?

I wonder if its because people have been buying Leeku's G80-3000 PCB and swapping it out with the original one. Do you know if the G80-3000 always comes with clear switches?

i got one for 28 usd 4 months ago.

A few months ago they were cheaper, as I said. I wonder what happened in the meantime.

No, it doesn't. Only the model with Clear switches comes with Clears.

I guess people have noticed this trend and decided they can do the same, resulting in inflation? As long as people don't buy them at this price they will come down for sure.

I doubt that this is the case. Prices have doubled. What company would double the price of a product from one month to the next just to test the market? There must be a another reason. Maybe they are discontinuing the G80-3000, and therefore they have limited stock and those premium prices are for customers who still want a G80-3000 instead of their more recent models.

Or maybe MX switches have become more expensive?
