I did some consulting for a place that had huge conferences about every second day, and there'd always be a couple of large trays of left-over sandwiches.

Because I was acting system administrator, I tended to wander around the building (large converted warehouse) a lot, and somehow managed to be first in the break room when the sandwiches were ready.
