I tried retro, it's hard because they're fun for like 30 minutes, then you extrapolate the time cost to continued play, and the rewards.. Then it turns into an adult moment, and you wake up from the fantasy that you could afford to be so carefree..
Well, that's my experience anyway. You may have better luck.

Meh, I'll be 32 myself this year and it doesn't even bother me anymore. Everyone gets older, so you can either embrace it and enjoy it or make a big deal out of something that literally no one can stop. So far, I've loved my 30s and would take them over my 20s at this point!
