Too bad he used a craptacular Logitech rubber dome keyboard.
Interesting to note he turned a full size KB into a 10keyless.

This was just posted earlier today.

I should make a custom enclosure for my Unicomp On-the-ball. Make an on-the-ball spacesaver keyboard.
-
It's pretty hard to make something that big into a compact keyboard.
-
I could find a way... chop off the num pad and move the trackball unit down a few inches. Maybe get a case for an IBM Spacesaver and put the board in there, then just modify it so the trackball can fit.

I can certainly appreciate the effort that went into the keyboard, but I'm not impressed with the results. It looks pretty bland overall, and certainly no rubber dome board deserves that much elbow grease.

There's no practical point in using a wooden keyboard anyway. Wood wears much more easily than plastic and finishing all those keys must be a nightmare.

Did you read the article? Well, who knows? I only skimmed it. Maybe he did make a whole set of keycaps out of wood, paint them gray and had legends printed on them.

I think you're trying to tell me he used plastic keys. Now that I think about it, he probably did.
