Title: what kind of keyboard is this?

Can anyone tell me what kind of keyboard this is? And, if you've had any experience with it, is it any good? I like the look. I really want a Unicomp Model M SpaceSaver though...

Probably a scissor switch over rubber dome.

Yah, I always liked the layout on mine too. Rubber dome, no scissor stabiizers. I'm not a fan of the key feel though.

Except for that redundant 'backslash' key in the bottom row. Any ideas why they felt the need to include that?

Post by: PRISONER 24601 on Thu, 10 December 2009, 13:28:38: Actually, the layout looks 'not bad'. After playing a few FPS games with my G86, I noticed that it's an advantage to have 3 mappable keys next to the spacebar, especially if you're playing a game with crouch/kneel/prone.

The status lights are too low, it's too rounded and has those bulges on the top and bottom. Also, the media buttons should match the keys IF they're a different color. If the case was black, and it had round buttons, that'd be swell. But white, round buttons on a round case with black keys... nah.

Everything I just stated was an objective fact. There's no debating what I just said. Good design will be determined by me and me alone. Anyone that disagrees is wrong. QED.

dammit, why did i sell my fugly keyboard futures YESTERDAY. Last time I trust my ameritrade broker.

Also I got some inside info: unicomp is throwing up an IPO next month. Keep your ears open. Rumor has it, they're supplying all the keyboards for Hamid Karzai's government AND the ISAF. God help us if bucking springs fall in to the hands of the Taliban :usa2:

Post by: itlnstln on Thu, 10 December 2009, 16:48:09: The Dell AT-101W (beige) is laser-etched. There new ones are just like Logitech or MS. Logitech and MS now have a decal over the printing to protect it, and it actually works quite well. Unfortunately, it doesn't look all that great.
