Title: Duck0113 Blackbird Keyboard
Post by: KetchyKech on Mon, 21 March 2016, 09:02:36
http://duck0113.tistory.com/130 (http://duck0113.tistory.com/130)

Haven't seen any topics pertaining to this keyboard that appeared on the Duck keyboard website. Brought it up in Octagon v2 thread, though thats not the appropriate thread, so we shall discuss it here!
What in the world is this beauty? And more importantly, when will a GB be realised ? So many questions...any details appreciated!

It's an interesting look, that's for sure. Not sure they opted to not have the F keys since they're already going with the full-size layout, but it is nice to be different.

Interesting layout but not for me

looks really slick, and I know it's trying to be original

but if it's going to be almost as long as a full size board, why not include a F key row

also, I feel that a big part of the usefulness of the nav cluster (home, end, pgup etc) is being in a the well known layout/position above the arrow keys. that way you can feel your way around the board without having to learn a new layout. but they've cut that out to save a couple of columns of width

yeah, certainly ticks the originality box~ whether its practical for those married to the function keys is another story. I love my F keys, but dont know if I could pass up something like this

I would of liked the F keys on a left-side cluster like those KMAC keyboards I've seen round here, woulda been sweet.

Either way, if funds are willing, i'd def place me a order

That first one with the red/brown plate looks super good. Definitely not quite understanding the layout though. The keyboard looks unbalanced without a key in the lower left.

Curious. The black version has an unusual LED placement. tbh this looks like an extended HHKB

It's a test tube baby of a Viper, FC660, and a 1800.
