Title: Solid starter TKL mechanical keyboard?

The Leopold fc750r is another good option but I was able to get the Kul and a set of pbt dyesub keycaps for slightly less than the total cost of the Leopold.

The deciding factor will come down to price and availability when it comes time to pull the trigger. Don't agonize about finding "The One." Narrow your list down to two, or three and then go with the best deal that you can find.

Besides being a very solid and minimalist board, the KUL does and it's a great feature to have.

it's minimal, no tacky backlight, has great switches and you won't need another keyboard after it. im saving you money and headaches!

I have this keyboard with MX Greens, but in a full size form factor, and really like it - it feels very solid and the keycaps have a very pleasant texture.
