Title: Howdy.
Post by: ratsroloc on Wed, 23 March 2016, 23:43:40
Hi there. Relatively new to the whole keyboard hobby. I mean I guess I got into it when I bought my Coolermaster Storm XT, but I only recently started scumming around on the r/mechanicalkeyboards subreddit and figured I'd join up here too.
Anyway so this isn't just some boring introduction post here's a shot (http://imgur.com/j6vmVNo) of my KBP V60 with Cherry MX Blacks. I'm big on the linear switches.

Welcome to Geekhack!

Is that blue or purple backlighting?  If it's purple, you've done well as a lot of purple LEDs actually look more pink.

Have you had any keyboards other than the CM XT and V60?

Actually it's the blue setting, I think it's just that my Nexus 5 camera isn't the greatest and it was in a more orange-ish lighting so that's probably not helping much either. It has blue and red leds in it, but I prefer to leave it on the blue setting. Not a huge fan of the red.

As far as mechanical keyboards go I've only had the CM XT and the V60. I'm thinking of picking up a Magicforce with Outemu switches or another V60 with Gaterons at some point.

My first modern mech was a Ducky Shine with red LEDs.  Sometimes I wish I gotten the blue LEDs, but I'm happy enough with the red.  Unfortunately I found I prefer heavier switches, and the Ducky has MX blues, so it doesn't get as much use as some of my other keyboards.
