Title: LF Aluminum TKL Suggestion?
Post by: TheInverseKey on Tue, 29 March 2016, 19:47:49
Hi,

Right now I am in a search for a TKL keyboard with either a top or bottom case made out of aluminum.  The case can either come with the aluminum case now or  get an aluminum case that will fit later.  The keyboard has to have Cherry MX Browns and Cherry stabilizers.

Thanks Inverse

Varmilo with the alu case from Massdrop.

You could build a Phantom and put into a Tex case, or Vortex case.

Keep in mind, my suggestions are all for retail boards and retail cases. There are plenty of customs that have what you are thinking, but I have a feeling your question is more geared toward the retail market.

Do you know if the Varmilo has a standard spacebar key?

To which standard are you referring?

Isn't a phantom in a tex case a little hard? You need spacers since the phantom plate doesn't have rolled edges?

What I mean by this that I have right now a Corsair K70 and the spcaebar on this keyboard is an odd size.

The k70 has a 6.5u spacebar. It looks like the Varmilo board on massdrop right now has a 6.25u, which is one of the more common sizes.
