Those look like nice tracking balls. I bet they get good performance.

I thought you got yours from trackballworld (http://www.trackballworld.com/). Also just noticed that Kensington has a new Orbit with a scroll ring that looks kinda interesting. Also the LaserTrac is on sale for $119 so he is only $10 cheaper than new.
