Title: HHKB Pro1 after restoration
Post by: cookie on Thu, 31 March 2016, 18:51:49
Hello everyone,

It has been a while since I've posted something new. Finally I have had the time to bring my trusty little keyboard back to glory. It is a HHKB Pro1 from 2005.

I hope you will like it.

Is that case slightly off-white?

It has an almost ... greenish ... tinge to it (according to my ocular input devices).

The case is painted in a mint green color, see here:

Was the paint job a necessity? Don't get me wrong... I like the color... I'm just interested why you went paint vs some options like retrobrite.

Thank you for confirming that - I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me :))

Did you paint to cover up the yellowing, or just for aesthetics?

Need a set of mint keycaps now!

You must really love that board to put in that much work to restore it - looks great!

I've posted a longer reason for that on DT, the case was broken after I've dropped it and there were also parts missing wich I had to fill up.

I think I will just copy the post from DT here, you guys seems not to click the link I've posted :)
