Ducky Channel website (http://duckychannel.com.tw)

There isn't much information about this keyboard. The keyboard is made by Ducky Channel, a Taiwan based company who market the Das Keyboard in Taiwan. This keyboard has been gaining popularity within Chinese users. The KBC (bbs.kbc-china.com (http://bbs.kbc-china.com)) group has been selling this for a while. Ducky Channel offers 2 version:

1. DK9000 - standard 104 keyboard with Blue/Brown/Black Cherry MX switch, detachable USB, N-key rollover, LED light on 5 keycaps, compact housing

DK-9000 Features (http://translate.google.com/translate?js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=1&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fduckychannel.com.tw%2Findex-2-1-4.html&sl=zh-CN&tl=en)

2. DK9008 - the same as 104 except it comes with extra 4 buttons to launch calculator, mail, etc.

DK-9008 Features  (http://translate.google.com/translate?js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=1&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fduckychannel.com.tw%2Findex-2-1-4.html&sl=zh-CN&tl=en)

The market price is ~580 RMB for the DK9000-Blue, 630RMB for DK9000 Brown/Black. The DK9008 is roughly 680RMB. I am waiting patiently for 'imsto' to restock it ship it to me first hand for review. Till then, I see this as a very potential alternative to Filco.

Here is few shots of DK9000

KBC group's been offering colorful keycaps for Ducky Keyboard (also compatible with other Cherry based like Filco or Das). You can check out 'imsto' taobao shop  (http://shop33611660.taobao.com/)(Chinese store similar to eBay).

Ah right, thanks for clearing that up.
I've heard of the problems with Das Keyboard and was a little surprised when I found the Das on duckychannel.com.tw... So Costar is what they share.

Actually we already have four topics about this all from within the last month or so:

http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?t=7845
http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?t=7844
http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?t=7843
http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?t=7816

However I guess this one makes a good summary with some new pictures.

Personally I agree to webwit and I would never buy a new Costar model again until its proven to work properly after the Fukka and Das S disaster.

ABS too. And weren't the Matias keyboards with the ghosting issues made by Costar also?

I was too lazy to 'shop the blank keys.

I would like it with the cursor/edit pads removed as well myself. But tenkeyless is acceptable.

Now it looks like a FILCO. why not 'shop' the F1-F12 to all have LEDs?

about the miniguru, alot of people use their thumb to press the alt key for simple things as alt f4, now the fn key is supposedly next to the space bar, that's two keys at once with the thumb, wouldnt it be better to go with an already proven layout of having the fn key in the bottom right corner? PFU made alot of research to not conflict with older standards, who is this board intended to, is it a chat board? I'm interested but if i start finding things like this after 30 seconds of reading, that it might have other similar things to consider.

Edit: I see the bottom corner key is still there, hopefully it will be usable as fn at the time of release, 'always on home row' is a great feature

And anybody else think the Ducky logo looks like a College Football logo?
