Crafty Taiwans working on new keyboards with optical switches. Advertising with no debounce, etc as main point. Looks like these will be on the full keyboard compared to the earlier lightstrikes which only had opticals on the WSAD cluster.

Top of sliders are still cross shaped as the usual, should work with generic MX keycaps
I'm mostly interested in the fact that they've got a "left" version planned with the numpad located on the left side of the keyboard. Gives the advantage of the TKL ergonomics with closer mouse + still retaining the numpad.
Planned release date stated to be the end of May.

Ah, that explains... You can tell I know nothing about modern keyboards xD .

Bloody hands specter axis breaking the monopoly of the metal mechanical axis mechanical keyboard market. Compared to ordinary mechanical axis using metal reed contacts with the trigger, bloody hands optical axis
I thought I saw something similar to this on another thread (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=80799.msg2115017#msg2115017)!

The translation is obviously skewed. Sort of makes it seem like a completely different product :))

Yep. Those are the already released lightstrike ones, whose switch housing has the same size/shape as cherry switches.
The new ones on top are to be released.

Neat thing about the new design is that it is capable of producing switch types other than linear, so you can get the advantages of optical sensing with a wider variety of characteristics.
Left handed version looks silly to me-- it's basically a number pad placed where people who don't use the number pad would want it. But some people are fans of it anyway and it's good that such people can have an option.
Now here's hoping they release a variant under the X7 sub-brand as well, so that we can get it without that awful hand logo. I try to prioritize function over form, but some things just go too far...

Here's the thing.. WHY square sliders.. (http://emoticoner.com/files/emoticons/onion-head/ghost-onion-head-emoticon.gif?1292862505)
I prefer round sliders..

Don't pull me off the hype train ok?

It is kind of weird that they decided on square sliders

It's cheaper and doesn't detract from the experience?
