Title: Greetings from Taiwan
Post by: freemydd on Fri, 08 April 2016, 01:10:37
Hi there fellow keyboard enthusiasts,

Very happy to be a new member! First, a short self intro. I'm a translator by trade and I discovered the wonderful world of mechanical keyboards at last year's Computex show. Since then I've bought 3 keyboards and managed to convince 21 of my co-workers to join me in starting a keyboard club within the company. Our club is now in the middle of creating our own 60%/tkl/100% keyboards. Last month we got the welding part done, and this month we'll be dyeing our own pbt keycaps! (Shoutouts to Armygroup, a local enthusiasts store in Taipei).

Geekhack has been an incredible resource for our club preparations, so thank you Geekhack, and again, very happy to be among you all :D

Welcome to Geekhack!

Which keyboards have you got?

And converted 21 people?  That's quite an achievement!  I've managed to convert one so far (at work).  The rest can't see what all the fuss is about, even after they're tried a few of my keyboards :))

My first was a Ducky Shine 3 with browns. When I got my second board I gave it to a colleague sitting next to me as a thank you present and now she can't type without it. My first success!

Then I got the Shine 3 yellow edition tkl with blues. It turned lots of heads in the office and was a great conversation starter :) I lend it to another colleague and now he too can't type without a mechanical keyboard. Another success!

I' currently using a CM Storm Novatouch which I thought was my last purchase, but now with the club going, I'm making a GH60 with Gateron clears :)) Maybe I'll post some of our creations later on!
