Hello out there! I'm Alex and very recently addicted to this keyboard madness that is the Life of the Clack. I've started lurking on r/MechanicalKeyboards for a couple months now, and recently made an informed purchase of a MechanicalKeyboards.com MK Disco (model:MK8715RGB) First mechanical keyboard since I was a younger lad and loving it so far! I'm very eager to build my own, but have plenty to learn before i do so.
I'll continue to lurk here for a short bit, learning the ways of the Click.
Cya around!

Not yet, but I've read plenty of posts praising it!

Welcome to Geekhack!
I didn't know MK made their own keyboard! Which switch did you get? I can't tell from the part number as they all start with the same prefix.
Many people have rued the lack of a TKL Shine 5. If this is as good as they say, it should sell very well.

My keyboard came with the KBT Brown switch. Identical feeling to Cherry MX Browns. The rep I spoke with felt the KBT Browns are smoother feeling than Cherry MX Browns... I'll have to take his word on that because I haven't clacked on enough boards to know otherwise!

MX browns are either a love or hate kind of switch. If the KBT switches are a bit smoother, and ideally if they actually have a bit of reasonable feedback, you could be on to something :)

It's surprising how many people love HHKBs and they don't even know it ;)

I'll admit to eyeballing the HHKB Pro 2 :) from what I've read everyone who has one loves them. They look well built, and the extra USB ports would be nice.

If you can get them to work.
Some people have not issues, but I'm yet to find anything that works in my ports - not even a lowly USB memory stick will register.
