Title: What the better way to paint a ducky?
Post by: WrxMike on Wed, 13 April 2016, 02:15:17
Is it better to paint over it with a couple of coats or sand it down then paint it?

Are you painting it by hand? and usually you want to sand it down as it helps the paint stick better.

I'm spray painting it. I'm doing a matte white base with light blue keycaps.

I see, I would still reccommend sanding it down. There are great guides on painting stuff on various forums. So try looking around.

Sand first, for sure. Even if you are using a plastic specific spray paint like Krylon Fusion, you should still sand it down to below the original coating.

What's better Krylon or Rustoleum. I know it is subjective. Just wondering what you guys think.
