To feel or not to feel. That is the question.

Currently, I have:

Do I... save my 90x Zealios for an Ergodox <3 and 65g Ergoclear my Pok3r.... =D

or do I Zealios my Pok3r and not build an ergodox ? =(

To feel or not to feel. That is the question.

Currently, I have:
  • KUL ES-87 w/ 62g ergoclears. Love it.
  • Pok3rhas stock clears & leds that I just desoldered.
  • Planck and 65g Zealios on the way.

Do I... save my 90x Zealios for an Ergodox <3 and 65g Ergoclear my Pok3r.... =D

or do I Zealios my Pok3r and not build an ergodox ? =(

That's a really nice photo of em switches... what cam did you use?

Trusty ol' D610 and 2.8mm Nikon. It's basically what I use for everything.

Dear HHKB fans: You're wrong <3

An unpopular opinion to say the least. I just finished up 7 whole days straight with the HHKB Pro 2. Strongly dislike Topre 45g switches. Enough so that I have lost all interest in them. Sry!

Having a nice camera helps but really... you can do just about anything with an entry level DSLR. It's more about technique than equipment. Eventually, you will want more than your gear provides but some of my best pictures were taken with an old D7000.

Nice dude. Yeah get a macro lens. It's mandatory for shots like keyboards, small objects, product photography in general.

Thanks! I will, but all these lenses are so frickin' expensive O_o.

Dear HHKB fans: You're wrong <3

An unpopular opinion to say the least. I just finished up 7 whole days straight with the HHKB Pro 2. Strongly dislike Topre 45g switches. Enough so that I have lost all interest in them. Sry!

That's not enough..You want to spend a lot more time with them..and then switch back to MX for a bit..and then switch back to Topre for a bit....If you truly don't like it, that's fair enough, it isn't everyone's cup of tea....we can't all have good taste :P.

As far as what you should do...tough choice there...I don't think I'd let switch availability determine that... especially if it is something rather unique like an Ergodox...

If you want an Ergodox, I'd use whatever switch you think will be great with it...If you end up hating the Ergodox, just sell it and get more Zealios for a Pok3r.

Or...put the Zealios on your Pok3r and buy more for an Ergodox...It isn't like that's a normal keyboard so if you really want an Ergodox, I don't think getting a few more switches should be the difference in whether you do it or not..

Por que no los dos?

It's a tough call. I just know that I have the perfect # of switches right now so that I can test out 65g ergoclear, which I feel may be my favoritest switch of all. But that's without having tried 65g lubed Zealios. Ahhh!!

I think my original plan makes the most sense for what I have on hand and required $$. $$ is the determining factor.

Then again, I'd really like to have a dedicated gaming keyboard w/ linear switches. I imagine they would be the best choice for my FPS (TF2, based off CS:GO engine).

I could try 62g linears... but then I'd have to get replacement stems right?

Update: Took all 61 MX Clears and 90 Zealios apart. What a pain in the ass lol. Lube is next :)

I am not sure what ratio of 205/105 to use. So far, I'd say it's 60%/40%. It seems nice.

Do you fellas lube your zealios the same as your ergoclears?

If I could go back in time I think I would have built an Ergodox or concave split board. But now I have too many traditional keyboards that I enjoy too much.
