Title: Hi from Sydney, Australia
Post by: sprigun on Tue, 19 April 2016, 19:24:07
Gentle folks,

Hi from Sydney. I started with a Filco ninja mechanical keyboard and am now exploring other mechanical keyboards (so that I can have one for work and one for gaming).

Can't customise my work one much, but will be looking to pimp my gaming one with key caps etc.

See you all around!

Welcome to Geekhack!

Filco is a great solid board to start with.  These days there are more keyboard with a solid and reliable feel like the Filco, but a few years ago the FIlco was the keyboard of choice.

What switches have you got in it?

Also there's talk of a second Sydney meetup (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=78863.0).  A great opportunity to have a few beers and try a few different keyboards.  Oh, and to meet some of the other members!

Welcome! I am an advocate of building your own keyboard leaves a lot of room for customization. Also the designs of the PCBs and layouts are open hardware so they are available freely too.0
