the Alps/Matias removal tool V2 is now in production.
giving 3 of these away (buyer pay exact shipping)
[attach=1]
the give away tools are "mill finish" de-burred and UNPOLISHED they will look like whats in the picture. do not expect them to look like the paid for production version. if you have questions ask. i can send more pictures. the tools are alittle loose i will adjust this in the final version. these are classified as "prototype parts"
these will go fast. PM me if you are interested. first 3 PM's gets them. if payment can not be arranged/received with in 7 calendar days via paypal i will open up to the 4th PM rinse repeat.
all gone :thumb:

I received your alps switch top remover yesterday and it works great! It's much easier to use than Cherry MX switch top removers.

SWEEEET i'm super glad you are enjoying it. do you like the new design over the "heart" shaped V1 ? (some people said it kinda looked like a penis :))) v2 is more spear shaped. also alot easier to make ;)
yeah. ive been asked to make tools for the cherry ones too but due to how you have to open them i'm not sure i want to go down that road. and i already have about 100 projects ahead of that idea LOL

I prefer how v2 looks. I think the handles on v1 wouldn't have really made a difference for me. Glad to hear its easier for you to make too.

I don't have any alps boards, so I'm showing my ignorance here... but what is that back piece of metal? I thought it was just like a wrench... but there's *something* there?
(Oh, and it does look a lot cleaner and more refined)

this tool removes the top portion of an alps/matias/sklm? switch with out removing it from the plate.

I was asking about the metal "third tine", but in your pic, I think I get what it does- it fits into the alps top to give leverage? I just couldn't imagine what purpose it served- but now I think I do. :)

the middle stem? that helps hold the switch stem. its more of an alignment element but does help hold the stem while removing the switch top.
