Title: IBM 44T4083: a trackpoint module
Post by: chx on Mon, 25 April 2016, 17:55:54
IBM produced for their POS systems the 44T4083 which is a very small trackpad and a trackpoint (yes!) in a single module. I have one. It comes up on ebay and other classifieds sites occassionally. The whole department is Toshiba's now. I can't find the pinout. Anyone have ideas, experience? If you are in Vancouver and want to do a careful teardown to figure it out, I am game. I will be in Hungary, Germany, Ireland in August-September as well.

If I were you, I'd try getting in touch with Haata. He's got loads of experience with this kinda stuff.

Neat. Looks like fun :D

I'd be willing to take a look at it, but you'd have to send it to me in San Jose, CA. (Amusingly I was just in Vancouver last week...).
