Title: Filco Doubleshot (SA Profile)

Alright recently I've stumbled into this keyset. I don't have a mechanical keyboard yet so please forgive me. My main question took root after I read the following line from KeyboardCo. "These keycaps come with Filco stabilizers glued in place so will only fit Filco keyboards."

Does anyone know what this actually means? I mean, are Filco stabilizers any different from standard Costar stabilizers? AFAIK this is the only SA profile keyset that is simply black and white. I think my SA obsession is obvious but I can't shake the feeling that I might be better off with a different SA keyset via Massdrop.

To be completely honest; I've never touched an SA keycap so I'm not even 100% sure that I will be a true believer.

I'm fairly certain those are really dark brown and not black.

And the inserts are just standard costar inserts and many people have successfully removed them.

There's a few threads on them from a while ago.

I've read some posts about them but everyone seemed to have placed them on Filco boards. I'm not trying to be a pain here

To see an SA profile keyset available without having to wait six months also seemed like a great opporunity

Really love the way this set melts into black and brown. Would love to try the set some day.

I like this set because it is uniform black/white. None of the brown mods like there was in the group buy

FYI, this set is white on very dark brown, not black.

The mods do have Costar stabilizers glued in place, but you can remove them using pliers, if you want to place them on Cherry stabs instead of Costar.

I own two sets of these, purchased directly from Filco in Japan. They are indeed SA-profile double shot ABS, made by Signature Plastics.
