Hello everyone blackriver here, I absolutely love mechanical keyboards as i am sure everyone here does. I really want to get into the custom keyboard world as I have only had more mainstream models at the moment i.e. a Blackwidow (Uck*) and currently a Corsair RGB K65. I really want to build up a 60% with some cherry blues or browns. I look forward to chatting on here and learning as best I can. Also if anyone has had a good experience with a particular 60% model I would love to hear about it.

I love the 60% layout, it is by far my favorite.  My keyboard of choice is the HHKB.  If you decide to venture down the Topre path, you should absolutely check it out.

Not quite a keyboard that you build yourself though, although the GH60 is.

It does appear as if order have been long closed, but you might be able to pickup someone's order if they have changed their mind.

Welcome :)

If you're going MX compatible I'd highly recommend the B. Face X2 from winkeyless.kr.
I've had a few, fully programmable + RGB case lighting if you're into that.

HHKB will be the board you want if not MX compatible :-*

Stock white printed, with a couple of HPK and Bro Caps on it.

There's no rush - you'll get there eventually though, most people do ;)
