Title: Special Finger Wang - In depth review
Post by: sitch on Mon, 09 May 2016, 10:00:31
手指王 ( Finger wang ) needs little to no introduction to the brand name, it produces full range of wangs from normal wangs, black wangs, and the special "milk" white version that I have luckily purchased from taobao. Total damage with shipping is around 30$, but let me assure you that even that price, it has proven itself to be tough competitor for other rubber domes *cough* HHKB *cough*
Let's start with the box, it's one of the best box design I ever had seen in my life. Simple, elegant, delivers all the essential information on the box. In case you cant read the 4 graphics located at the bottom part, from left to right - infrared sensor, 4 buttons, pro gamers and backlight illumination.

At the back of the box, it listed some of the functions of the keyboard. Shift balance bar and enter dual stabilizer bars actually uses costar stabilizer, which is pretty awesome because it retains the crispy-ness of the membrane key.

Unboxing photo, it includes only the keyboard but that's all you will need (http://i.imgur.com/iezRKIh.jpg)
It also comes with 6 large water hole for times when you "accidentally" pour some milk on the board, you can actually runs the board through running water to clean em. Who needs cum guards?
What would be the typing experience on this wang? Well before I begin explaining the feeling, I'm a owner for both realforce 55g and also a HHKB and to be honest I felt cheated after owning this board. This wang is the best keyboard I have typed in my whole f life and I felt like I have wasted 80% of my life typing on some expansive rubber domes.
The beginning of switch actuation have higher resistance and it gradually reduces when it is reaching the bottom, just like your wangs. When the switch is fully actuated, it gives out some loudest and crispiest "thock" and it bounces right up when you release the key. Each and every keys have the same consistency, I'm very surprise with the keyboard engineering despite being sub 50$ keyboard
All and all, this is some REAL keyboard and I would give it 10/10 for both feelings and functionality of the keyboard, and not forgetting the branding. Highly recommended! will definitely buy more wangs :thumb:

I was gonna give the board 8/10 but then I saw the water holes, so it gets a full 10/10.

The Wang milky white looks very slick. However, I've heard the black Wangs can be considerably bigger.
Ah, too bad, they're no longer available (http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Special-finger-Wang-electronic-competitive-gaming-keyboard-backlighting-backlit-keyboard-professional-waterproof-wired-keyboard/32386072476.html). I see you can still get the Wang apparel, though:
